How the Bail Process Works in Yulee and Jacksonville, FL
When you, a friend, or a family member have a run-in with the law, you need to turn to a trustworthy and reliable bail bonds company. Daniel Bail Bonds have helped thousands of people who live and vacation in Florida secure their release from jail and assist them in the bail process. Here’s what you need to know about posting bail.
How the Bail Process Works
The entire process starts with the arrest and transport to the police station for booking, where the police officer gathers information pertaining to the case. Then, for less serious crimes, the person may be allowed to post bail right away. In some cases, though, the person has to wait for a bail hearing, which is generally less than 48 hours. The amount of bail usually depends on the severity of the crime, but the judge will also consider the person’s criminal record, the threat they pose to the community and other factors. If bail isn’t posted, the defendant will need to remain in custody until the case is resolved.
Once Daniel Bail Bonds is contacted, the certified and experienced bail bondsmen will ask several quick and easy questions regarding the client’s location and the nature of the crime they’ve been accused of. Once all the paperwork and legal documentation are signed, we’ll post bail at the jail.
What You Need to Know About Bail Bonds
Bail bonds can be used to secure freedom for people charged with either misdemeanor or felony. Once out of jail, the defendant is free to resume their daily life until their court case. We assume responsibility for you and help you through the legal documentation and paperwork so that you understand what to expect with the terms of your bail. If for some reason you skip your court date, the bail amount will need to be repaid in full and any collateral posted will be forfeited, per the terms of your contract. Once your case is completed, you will no longer be responsible for the bail amount.
